Life 180 - from Finance to Fashion Photography

After climbing 29 flights of stairs in complete darkness with only a glowstick to light my way, I took off my fashion motley of boots & three piece suit, ending another day’s work on Wall Street. Hurricane Sandy was a mess, but I loved the adventure; 25 days of surreality living in downtown New York City with no water or electricity in a virtually abandoned skyscraper. The experience was incredible, but my with only a camera on my cell phone, I missed my chance to document it.

I decided to buy a DSLR shortly after and from the first pull of the trigger I was hooked. I discovered a new way to look and interact with the world, an activity that kept me fully engaged and endlessly curious. I started shooting, experimenting and teaching myself every day and six months into my endeavor, my efforts were rewarded with a $15,000 photography grand prize. I decided then to push full time at my new found passion and see where I could go with it. In the time since, I have launched a business selling my work as fine art canvas prints, landed a fantastic client in fashion, completed an artist residency at a boutique hotel in Nicaragua, spent a month exploring Cuba and shot everything from underwear models to whalesharks. I have never been happier.

My goal is to make my mark on fashion photography, where art meets commerce and my two passions collide.
